Bot River will recycle soon
Construction of Lucky Point recycling, a non-profit organisation, commenced on 1 August in Bot River.
“Our 10th anniversary is in October,” says Magrit Schwendimann, benefactor of Lucky Point. ‘Standing here now and seeing our vision being realised, is unbelievable,” she said. “We are very happy.”
Schwendimann says Lucky Point belongs to the people and children of Bot River.
Over the years the community started its own creche, and currently looks after 35 children. it has two after-care facilities and feeds between 120 and 160 children get food, nobody goes home hungry.
A new and bigger recycling cebtreand facilities for the youth centre are currently being built. Schwendimann said they hoped the building will be finished by mid-December.
